Have your say on the Lewisham Recycling Service

The Lewisham Recycling Service are going to be running a series of focus groups this month to gather your views on how we are performing and your ideas on how we can help you recycle even more. The sessions will be interactive and you will have a lot of opportunity to contribute so if you have comments or ideas please do come along.

Come and tell us what you think.

 All attendees will be rewarded with two Lewisham Time Credits entitling them to:

– Games of ten pin bowling at 1st Bowl Lewisham

– Activities, including some classes and swimming at Colfes Leisure Centre, Ladywell Arena, Ladywell Leisure Centre, The Bridge Leisure Centre or Wavelengths Leisure Centre

– Seats at Millwall home football matches

– Treatments at T’ien BeautySchool

 Meetings will be held in the following areas:

– Whitefoot: Goldsmiths Community Centre – 12th September 7-9pm

– Bellingham: Bellingham Leisure Centre – 13th September 7-9pm

– Blackheath: Quaker Meeting House – 27th September 7-9pm

– Catford: Civic Suite – 28th September 2-4pm

 Further venues will be added shortly in Evelyn and Forest Hill.

Love food? Hate waste? Like composting?

Lewisham Council is offering free workshops that you, your family or your friends may be interested in. One theme is home composting and the other is Love Food Hate Waste. Short workshop will give you lots of tips and information on saving money and using food wisely to ensure you waste as little as possible.  On top of this, you will learn how to compost properly so that you can turn kitchen and garden waste into compost that can be used on your garden. The dates and locations are as follows:
