Nappy Natters!

By the time a baby is potty trained they could have worn 4000 – 6000 nappies. Using real, washable nappies rather than disposables can save hundreds of pounds and reduce the amount of rubbish going into your refuse bin.

8 million disposable nappies are thrown away every day in the UK, on top of this the Real Nappy Association has calculated that savings from using Real Nappies for a first child alone can amount to £600.

So why not get involved with the real nappy revolution!  Come along to…

Lewisham Library, 199-201 Lewisham High Street,  SE13 6LG  Friday the 28th of September 2012  between 10 and 12 noon

Or come to one of our Weekend events on Saturday the 17th of November between 2 and 4pm at Wearside Service  Centre, Wearside Road, London SE13 7EZ.

You’ll be able to find out more and if you’re a Lewisham resident, claim a free £25 voucher towards the cost of ‘Real’ cloth nappies.  Proof of pregnancy/ babies birth certificate needed with proof of address.  Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

  1. It’s really important to choose reusable nappies to help create less waste. I’m really happy to hear that this event is happening

  2. I missed this event – will there be others? I’m keen to start using reusuable nappies with my baby (due in Jan 2012).

    Many thanks

    • Hi Mahmuda, glad to hear your interested in the event. We’re holding another one this Thursday (4th August) at Wearside Depot, Ladywell. The event will run from 7.30-9pm and is a great opportunity to learn a bit more about real nappies whilst having a cup of tea and a biscuit! The full address is Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, Ladywell, SE13 7EZ.

If you can’t make this one there is another one on the 26th August at Lewisham Library, for further details of events visit the Real nappies for London site: http://www.realnappiesforlondon.org.uk/scheme/eventsdiary.php if you need any further details just let me know.
